Tiffany Peterson is a speaker and life coach. In this podcast excerpt, she shares how she finds peace, what most people struggle with, and what gave her a serious case of the giggles.
AN: Tiffany, where do you find peace?
TP: I like to frame that as, “What brings me home?” And that’s a combination of having my feet on the earth or time in nature. I’ve spent a lot of time on a lot of trails and hikes. And I have a little garden in my backyard.
AN: What’s the most common thing with everybody you’ve coached and worked with?
TP: It’s definitely some rendition of, “I’m not enough. I’m not lovable enough. I’m not smart enough. I’m not thin enough. I’m not popular enough. A good enough parent.” But our healing is our responsibility. It’s our in our hands.
AN: Is there a moment you can think of in your life where you’ve laughed harder than you’ve ever laughed in your entire life?
TP: Oh, lots. Once I was on this Zoom call with myself and three other gentlemen, and we were doing this training on like a Facebook live. I’m grateful for technology, don’t get me wrong. But there’s also a point where my brain was cooked, and I got the giggles. I could not rope it back in. So even though it was even kind of a professional space, I just like was laughing so hard. And yeah, that will happen to me. Well, you know, when you watch someone laugh how that makes you laugh? They all started getting the giggles and laughing too—even the people watching.
