The Utah wilderness holds many secrets and glimpses into the past. Ancient tribes, such as the Pueblo and the Freemont, left behind evidence that they were there, including petroglyphs, which are scenes or pictures that have been carved directly into a rock surface. Kevin Wellard has been taking people there through his breathtaking drone footage for years. Learn more about this beautiful art, his incredible videos and photos, and how he helped validate and verify information in both the Ted Bundy and Elizabeth Smart cases!
Today we got to sit down with Kevin Wellard and talk about his fascinating work of preserving petroglyphs with drone photography. Kevin has been all over Utah and has photographed petroglyphs that many people will never get to see in their lifetime! Kevin strives to use his drones as tools to reach places and get perspectives that would not otherwise be possible.
Kevin’s drone photography skills are incredible, and we were so happy to have the chance to learn more about what he does!
